It’s times like these.

If you can dream it you can make bring it into reality. So stoked on this!

The space where your Shakas and Alohas softgoods and accessories are designed. A little vibe from back home in Hawaii helps with the creative process.

This is my friend Ernie who I train with at Conde Koma. He recently started growing micro greens out of his space here in Long Beach. Ernie was born and raised here. You can find him set up at some of the local farmers markets here. This particular one is at Bixby Park aka Cherry Park. He’s usually here on Tuesdays and Saturdays so go check him out and support him and his local business. You can find him on IG @lb_greenbelt.

You may have seen Ernie in some of the Albino and Preto ad campaigns. Most recently in the AP x 47 MLB campaign.
Check out Greenbelt Zaferia Microgreens if you’re here in Long Beach. Mahalo for supporting your local mom and pops shops!

Morning silliness.

What’s this you ask?

One of the most well thought out and executed collaborative projects amongst friends. I’m blown away! What better way to show your love for the art, Hawaii, and your friends without saying the obvious. Mahalo to braddah Ola for making this possible.

Life is good! Aloha From Long Beach (AFLB).

I work with some of the coolest and most interesting people. My friend Andrea is one of the best storytellers I’ve come across. She said she bought this shirt just because of the label. Sounds like something I would’ve done too. I love the thought that went into making this label. These small details are some times even better than the garment itself. I also love to think about the history behind this piece and all the experiences that were had wearing this garment. I Miss Old Hawaii (IMOH).

Watching Tio grill up some veggies on the taco cart momma bought for her 1st birthday. Love seeing my girl getting to experience these bbq’s in grandparents backyard with the rest of the familia.

Afternoon silliness.

On Sunday we took a little field trip out to the Arts District to check out the Los Angeles Art Fair. There was a zine exhibit I wanted to check out. I specifically wanted to check out Old Skool Sean’s book as well as the latest from Hamburger Eyes zine. It was a beautiful day to be out and about in sunny Los Angeles.

There was much more than a zine display happening at the Los Angeles Art Fair. There were some classic bombs on display from one of the local car clubs, a bunch of booths selling vinyls, and some art vendors.

Baby girl enjoying the vibes out in LA.

Love all the clutter going on in here. Too small to fit a stroller though.

Chee!

Had to stop by our favorite spot in all of LA on our way home.

Back in 2016 their used to be a surf shop on 4th Street called 7th Street Wave. It was located where Gusto Bread is now. You can see where Coffee Drunk is now in the reflection of the window. Anyways I was walking home from Roxana’s old apartment one morning when I cam across this old 80’s Shawn Stussy surfboard displayed in the window of 7th Street Wave Surf Shop. This was so random and felt out of place to have a surf shop on 4th Street but it was also pretty cool because of that fact. That’s my story for now. Aloha From Long Beach.
