Shakas and Alohas was started back in 2008 as a blog that featured the experience of our island style backyard bbq’s. From the blog came the idea to create something for friends and people from abroad who enjoyed what we were doing. In 2016 I decided to take this experience to Long Beach, California. I wanted to see if it was possible to organically grow the brand with the support of friends here in California who have a love for Hawaii. The community I’m surrounded by has had an influence on the evolution of this experience. I appreciate every one who has supported Shakas and Alohas through out the years. Big mahalo to all the new friends who are following along in this new chapter and have showed nothing but aloha for what we’re doing. This hasn’t been done alone and I must thank all of my family and friends for their support on this project. For this I am forever grateful.
